Compatible with leading evidence formats and platforms
Prosecutors have unlimited resources. Defense attorneys are drowning in hours of unreviewed footage, missing critical evidence that could change the outcome of a case.
Six core capabilities that give defense teams the analytical edge they need.
Every word, captured precisely
MLX Whisper runs entirely on Apple Silicon to transcribe body camera audio with timestamps. No cloud uploads, no data exposure—everything stays on your machine.

MLX Whisper transcribes every word on-device with speaker diarization and timestamp sync.

One click generates a forensic report with embedded evidence. Firm plans include court-ready formatting and chain of custody documentation.
From raw footage to compelling defense evidence in under 8 hours.

Drag and drop body camera footage, dashcam video, surveillance files, and police reports. Every major format supported out of the box.

On-device AI scans every frame. Transcription, object tracking, and contradiction detection — all running locally on your Apple Silicon.

Potential discrepancies between police reports and footage are flagged for your attention. You decide what matters — the AI just makes sure nothing slips past.

Generate forensic reports with embedded evidence and chain of custody documentation. Export for court filing or team review.
Eight categories of defense notes that FrameCounsel surfaces from video evidence for your review.
Missing time between reported events and video evidence
Statements in report directly contradict video footage
Witness accounts don't match what the footage shows
Unexplained gaps or deactivation of recording devices
Reported locations don't match geospatial evidence
Key events visible in footage absent from official reports
Use of force inconsistent with reported threat level
Required communications or warnings not given as reported
Your data never leaves your machine. The moment case data touches someone else’s server, a prosecutor can challenge its integrity. FrameCounsel was designed from the ground up so this can never happen — not because we promise it, but because the architecture makes it physically impossible.
From the moment footage is imported, FrameCounsel computes a SHA-256 cryptographic hash of every byte. Every subsequent access, analysis, and export is logged with timestamps, operation descriptions, and hash verification in an immutable audit trail. If a source file is modified by even a single bit, FrameCounsel detects it instantly and flags the integrity violation.
The chain of custody report is exportable as a court-admissible document, providing cryptographic proof that evidence has not been tampered with at any point during your analysis workflow.
This is not a feature. This is the entire reason FrameCounsel exists.
FrameCounsel is distributed through the Mac App Store. Apple collects standard download and crash analytics from all App Store apps — we cannot disable this. However, none of your case data, evidence files, analysis results, or work product ever leaves your machine.
Specifically: FrameCounsel makes zero network requests during analysis. No license server check-ins, no usage telemetry, no “anonymous analytics.” In air-gapped mode, the app functions with no network interface at all — verified by our security audit.
Apple’s App Store analytics are limited to install/crash data and never include app content. See Apple’s App Analytics documentation for details.

Admissibility Framework
FrameCounsel uses peer-reviewed, published methodologies: Whisper (speech recognition), YOLOv8 (object detection), DeepSORT (tracking), and ArcFace (face matching). Every analysis is reproducible, testable, and documented — the foundation of admissibility under both Daubert and Frye.
Read MoreEvidence Authentication
Every piece of evidence includes the foundation elements required under Federal Rules of Evidence 901 and 902: chain of custody documentation, hash verification, metadata preservation, and process reliability records.

FrameCounsel flagged a 4-minute gap in body camera footage that the prosecution never disclosed. We cross-referenced it against dashcam footage using multi-video sync, and the timeline proved our client could not have been at the location described in the arrest report. The judge dismissed the case.
