FrameCounsel is designed from the ground up to protect the privacy of defense attorneys, their clients, and the sensitive case materials they work with. This privacy policy explains how FrameCounsel handles data, which is to say: it doesn't.
FrameCounsel collects no user data. We do not collect, store, transmit, or process any personal information, case data, video files, transcriptions, analysis results, or any other data generated during your use of the application.
Specifically, we do not collect:
All video analysis, transcription, face recognition, contradiction detection, and report generation occurs entirely on your local machine. FrameCounsel uses on-device AI models that run on your Apple Silicon hardware.
No data is transmitted to external servers, cloud services, or third-party APIs during analysis. FrameCounsel is designed to operate in a fully air-gapped environment with no network connection required.
Your case files are stored in encrypted local storage on your machine. FrameCounsel uses AES-256 encryption for all project files. You retain complete control over your data at all times.
FrameCounsel contains no telemetry, analytics, tracking pixels, or phone-home mechanisms of any kind. The application makes zero network requests during normal operation.
The only network activity occurs when you explicitly check for software updates, which can be disabled entirely in preferences. Update checks transmit only the current version number and platform identifier; no personal or case data is included.
License validation occurs once during activation and requires a brief, encrypted communication with our licensing server. This communication contains only your license key and a machine identifier. No personal information, case data, or usage information is transmitted.
After initial activation, FrameCounsel operates fully offline. Periodic re-validation may occur during software updates but can be performed manually at your convenience.
FrameCounsel does not integrate with, transmit data to, or receive data from any third-party services, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or cloud AI providers. All AI models are bundled with the application and run locally.
This website (framecounsel.com) is a static site. We use no cookies, no tracking scripts, and no analytics. We do not collect any information about visitors to this website.
If you contact us via email, we will retain your communication solely for the purpose of responding to your inquiry. We will never share your contact information with third parties.
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update this page and change the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be announced in the application's changelog and on our website. Our commitment to local-only processing and zero data collection will not change.
