Report Types
FrameCounsel can generate several types of court-ready reports:
- Contradiction Analysis Report: Side-by-side comparison of police report claims versus video evidence, with timestamps and confidence scores.
- Transcript Report: Full transcript with speaker labels, timestamps, and any annotations or edits.
- Timeline Report: Visual chronological reconstruction of events with gap analysis.
- Evidence Summary: An overview of all evidence in the case with metadata, hashes, and chain-of-custody references.
- Combined Report: A comprehensive document that includes all of the above in a single PDF.
Generating a Report
- Open your case and ensure all analysis is complete.
- Click Export > Generate Report in the toolbar.
- Select the report type and the evidence items to include.
- Configure report options (see below).
- Click Generate. The report opens in Preview when complete.
Customization Options
Each report can be customized with the following settings:
- Header information: Case number, attorney name, firm name, date, and jurisdiction.
- Logo / branding: Upload your firm's logo to appear on the cover page and headers.
- Confidentiality notice: Choose from standard confidentiality statements or write your own.
- Detail level: Summary (key findings only), Standard (findings with context), or Detailed (full analysis with methodology notes).
- Page layout: Letter or A4, portrait or landscape.
Tip: Save your customization settings as a template. Go to Export > Report Templates > Save Current to create reusable templates for different courts or case types. This saves significant time on recurring case types.
Report Contents
A typical Contradiction Analysis Report includes:
- Cover page with case information and confidentiality notice
- Executive summary with key findings count and severity breakdown
- Methodology section explaining how the analysis was conducted
- Findings section with each contradiction listed individually, including report excerpt, transcript excerpt, video timestamp, and video frame capture
- Appendix with full transcript, hash values, and audit log excerpt
Quality Checklist
Before submitting a report to the court:
- Review every finding for accuracy
- Verify that video frame captures clearly show what is described
- Check that all timestamps are correct
- Ensure the chain-of-custody information is current
- Have a colleague review the report if possible
